Booking Policy

Public course bookings
A place on an AIA public course is confirmed once full payment has been successfully received and a booking confirmation has been issued.
Each booking is for one participant unless otherwise stated.
A booking may be made on behalf of another participant, provided that the correct participant details are supplied.
Payment
Public courses are payable in full at the time of booking unless another payment arrangement is expressly offered.
All prices shown during booking will be displayed in South African Rand unless stated otherwise.
Cancellations
You may cancel your public course booking up to 7 days before the course start date.
Where cancellation is made at least 7 days before the course starts, you will be eligible for a refund, less any payment processing charges that are lawfully non-refundable.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the course start date are generally non-refundable, subject always to any rights you may have under applicable South African consumer law.
Transfers
If you can no longer attend, you may request to transfer your place to another person before the programme begins.
Please contact sales@appliedaiafrica.com with the booking details and the details of the replacement participant.
Transfers are subject to approval and must be completed before the first session.
Changing to another cohort
Bookings cannot automatically be rescheduled online.
If you need to move to another cohort, contact us. Where another suitable cohort is available, we will let you know whether a transfer can be accommodated.
Joining after a course has started
Our courses are structured as progressive learning programmes. Participants generally cannot book or join a cohort after the programme has started.
Missed sessions
f you miss a session after your programme has started, this does not automatically entitle you to a partial refund or credit.
Where practical, we will let you know whether alternative materials or another reasonable way to catch up is available.
Course changes by AIA
We may need to change a training date, facilitator, delivery format or other programme arrangement where reasonably necessary.
If a course cannot proceed, or if minimum enrolment requirements are not met, we may postpone or reschedule the programme.
Where AIA postpones a full programme before it starts, affected participants will normally be offered the choice of:

Moving their booking to the replacement date

Transferring to another suitable cohort where available

Receiving a refund of the amount paid for the affected programme
Online training
Online participants are responsible for having a suitable internet connection, compatible device and access to any software communicated as necessary before the programme.
Joining information and meeting links will be sent to the email address associated with the booking.
Meeting links should not be shared with people who are not registered for the programme.
Corporate programmes
This Booking Policy primarily applies to public courses booked through our website.
Corporate programmes are governed by the terms set out in the applicable proposal, quotation, statement of work or agreement.
